My husband got upgraded to first class on his 12 hour flight. I was in the cheapest economy saver seat because I work with non-profits and he works for Big Tech Co. (We were on different flights.)
You might say our Lufthansa experience “was a little different for me…”
@Jeremiah what does it mean to “get” upgraded? Just for free/compensation, or the company paid? For most of the long haul flights I’ve been on, upgrades have been so expensive that I didn’t even want to ask for one even though it most likely would have been approved 😅 there’s often some “premium economy” option which is quite alright though.
@Jeremiah that’s nice! I mostly fly SAS within Europe, and while I get lounge access and some other niceties, they rarely fly to the more far away places I’ve gone to, and I’ve just been some random loser to those companies.
Are #opensource holidays a thing? Can I book a cabin in the woods somewhere (with the internet) and just hack on my open-source projects? Anyone interested? 😅
@akosma Quite some collateral damage 😅 I thought Bing was only one of many providers to DDG. Seems like they might want to isolate those better going forward.
@wrobertson yep, as others have alluded to in the replies. I was tempted for a while, but despite that I won’t redact the hugs. What kind of monster does that?
No, LinkedIn, I don't think I will turn this comment into a blog post, as I have some serious doubts about it making me appear to be leading the conversation.
