are looking for #ProfessionalDevelopment Mentors for this year's Academy!

This summer there will be four courses 😯:
Computational Neuroscience, NeuroAI, Deep Learning, and Computational Tools for Climate.

Mentors will hold a one-hour meeting every week with a small cohort of students, where they will discuss with them and help them progress in their journey in industry and academia.

A more few days to apply for Climatematch Academy 2024 and a few facts about the CMA project :catnod:

• Climate change affects everyone.
• Climatematch is teaching a unique approach “from data to action” where students are provided tools and background in climate+data science to work on a problem they care deeply about.
• These types of classes are only taught in select universities around the world that have sufficient computing resources. We provide the expertise and the computing resources!
• Normally, climate university classes are attended by less than 50 students, where 20 can be considered a good turnout. Climatematch had over 300 students participate in last year’s course.
• Nearly 1/3 of CMA students participated in the Climate Impact Scholars Program (CISP) where they continued their project with research support, mentorship, and computing resources. Most of these students are from the Global South where there is an alarmingly low number of climate scientists!

Yesterday was the last day of the #ClimateMatch Academy.
It was a pleasure for me to contribute to the project and learn from other amazing volunteers.
