It appears that this supposed iOS/iCloud bug could be troublesome. If you updated. your iOS device recently, your old deleted photos from COVID-times might have undeleted themselves...

This is probably why you should self-host your own cloud storage if you know what you're doing.

So I checked in to this hotel, where I booked the cheapest room, and they initially double upgraded me (highest tier member), then later updated it to a 5x upgrade to a Junior Suite with a private pool. :ablobcatreachflip:

Also added a free bottle of sparkling wine and restaurant cocktail vouchers. :meow_wine:

So my working theory is that there's a few conferences and events going on that they overbooked, so they upgraded their members so they could have more of the cheaper rooms block booked for the event.

Woke up in the middle of the night to loud meowing went to investigate and found a kitten in an out-of-bounds garden in the hotel.

The next morning I went to have a look, and heard two different meows. The mom cat was skinny and smol, but ran away in the wrong direction when I saw her. Managed to snap a pic of the kitten in good lighting. Hope mom can find the courage to get to her child.

Was having various teas at a legit teahouse, and this white couple sits at the next table. I didn't bother looking at them initially.

The man starts to mansplain his veganism, and the woman counters by telling her life story that she was born vegetarian and started eating meat at 18 due to nutritional deficiencies. They discuss fruitarianism, bone broth, Chinese medicines and bio-hacking.

When I head to the toilet, I have a look at them, and the dude has a shaved head and Jack Dorsey beard. :deadbird: I guess that's the type that'd have that look.

So they claim that AI makes the translator's job easier and faster, just like AI companies claim AI makes artists jobs easier, or AI makes storywriting easier.

Companies just want to pay LESS by underpaying staff, hiring fewer staff, hiring less skilled staff, to cleanup after AI does a first-pass of whatever process they want. See WGA strike 2023.
