Looking for advice from people who use both and - how do you use the two? Are they completely separate for you? Or do you use one to promote the other? Do you post one type of content on each? We can see the strengths and weakness of both platforms and have been kind of puzzled about how we want them each to be. Any thoughts / advice / best practices from the wider would be really appreciated! Thanks!

@NatureMC

Sean here - thanks Petra for your response. We really appreciate it. I don't actually have any experience with Instagram (I was not really a big Twitter user before getting on Mastodon, either). It does feel like a conundrum mainly because they overlap so closely and integrate so nicely. There are drawbacks to the Fediverse working, LOL.

Sean here - this is a fantastic way of putting it. Very clear and succinct. Thanks for sharing!

A few days ago, we took a trip to Chandni Chowk in Old . Right across from Red Fort is Lal Mandir, a Temple from the 17th century. The inside is gorgeous but what makes it so special is that it hosts the Charity Hospital. This facility takes injured from all over the city, nurses them back to health, and releases them. It is a true embodiment of (), the essential virtue of .

Ruchika's family is Jain and they consider this their main temple in Delhi. In 2015, we found a pigeon that was injured and could not fly.

We put the bird in a cardboard box and took it all the way to the hospital 40 km away from where we lived. It was taken care of and given medicines.

Most of the birds there are brought by ordinary people. Many of them suffer natural injuries from predators, while many others suffer from pollution and violence at the hands of humans.

We try to visit when we are back in India at least once and we always donate to the hospital. If you would like to do so as well, please go to their main site, scroll down to the bottom, and find details about how you donate:

For our very first visit to , we made our way to Connaught Place (AKA CP), the social hub of Delhi. One of our favorite shops in the entire world is "Indian Coffee House." Just off the outer ring of CP, Indian Coffee House is in a run down fabric market. It doesn't look like much but the coffee is fantastic. It has a really laid back air where people read and talk for hours and under lazy fans.

Indian Coffee House as many signs around. This photo is a faded red sign that says "Indian Coffee House" and below that "SITTING IDLE IS WASTAGE OF TIME"

This place is special for us because we consider it where we had our first date in 2014. When we lived in , we used to go all the time and now when we visit, we make a point to go at least 2-3 times a visit. This is one of our favorite places in the world and if you visit Delhi, you should really check it out. It is a bit of the beaten path and well-worth exploring.

Sean sitting with a view of the other side of the cafe. You can see one of the workers in a white uniform with a red belt and a large white hat with a fan fold.
A very delicious grilled aloo (potato) sandwich with lots of butter on a white plate.
As we were eating, a group of crows sitting on the ledge of the balcony all in a line. You can see the rooftops of surrounding buildings.
