The work week at the #FoodBank continues. I am kept busy, but currently not hectic, which gives me time for side project catch-up.

A post this morning on a very intriguing and feature-rich pour over system from Melitta that gets almost no mention at all in the usual influencer circles, for reasons you might not expect.
People drink a lot of coffee, and some of the six million tonnes of grounds discarded annually into landfills can generate climate-altering methane and carbon dioxide. A study in the Journal of Chemical Technology and Biotechnology finds the grounds could be used to address agricultural contamination.

Groggy start to today. Was awoken by a FB Messenger ping by a friend ex-workmate informing me that an older coworker has passed away. It's a reminder to live our lives day by day, but also to think of our eternal future.
Changed over Arianna's ice-bottles and made my #Coffee.
Today is May the 4th, so I am wearing a t-shirt featuring Doctor Who and the Star Trek Enterprise. I am a rebel!
Indian restaurant birthday lunch today with good friends.

My twice-monthly subscription from Ontario's Social Coffee ( https://socialcoffee.com/ ) arrived today. So excited, as I’ve wanted this grinder for a while, but too damn cheap to upgrade from my now-janky Hario grinder. I broke the base of my Hario a few years ago and screwed in a mason jar at the bottom (it fits!), but will be happy to have a better grinding experience now. Still love having an all-manual setup. #coffee#thriftshop
