@jon This is why Google Maps is often my first port of call. Surely routing along a single line is quite an easy task for a train operator? It should be easier for them than an advertising company.

Along with the parish CofE vicar's pride flag outside the biggest church in town, I do like seeing the #feuerwehr vehicles from Felixstowe's twin town Wesel here.

This meme reminds me of the struggle to place and glue many clips accurately spaced around a metal hoop working with local crew equipped with tape measures with only 1/8th inch markings outside the White House a few years ago. 😬

Off to a Little Mix Tribute show tonight with my daughter.

If I felt awkward standing on my own at an All Time Low gig when my son abandoned me, this will be more uncomfortable, so I've decided to stick with my daughter all evening rather than be like the creepy, lone male forty-something.

My youngest has her GSCE exams this summer. She has 28 exams. I'm sure she'll do well and she's not, yet, too stressed but that's a stupid amount of testing of somebody's ability on the day.

The more I see my kids go through academia the more I dislike it.

I worked on the construction of Disney Magic and Wonder in 1998 and was on the delivery cruise of Magic from Venice (Marghera yard) to Port Canaveral.

I mainly worked nights, primarily finishing and sound checking the nightclub overnight so had breakfast each morning on deck overlooking a completely flat Atlantic Ocean after we went through the Straits of Gibraltar on 4th July.

I just found these pins / badges in the bottom of a box.

If I have one hope for my children in this crazy old world, it's that when they have children of their own (IF THEY CHOOSE TO), those children will put their dirty plates and bowls right next to the empty open dishwasher aswell and then they will come to me and say sorry and I shall laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh and lau.......

Youngest just completed a 24hr Sportathon at school. They raised £5000 for four charities.

Slightly torn by the giving of prizes for the five biggest fundraisers. Those five people are all from the wealthiest families. Daughter's total was in the middle somewhere, but a couple of friends 'only' brought in £30.

As much as it's good to encourage fundraising, the prizegiving just reinforces the social structure these teenagers experience every day. /1

So the first problem: the on board announcement in the ICE telling us we can change onto a Eurostar to Brussels is wrong

No mention of Railteam HOTNAT. We’re told we need a reservation for it, that theoretically we get at the Reisezentrum

The EV-powered silent disco I helped deliver at CarFest for bp pulse has won an award. 'Best Use of Cutting Edge Technology' at the European Sponsorship Awards.

I looked after all the elements from the four MG EVs. There was no external power supply to the marquee that supported, at its peak, 600 festival goers.
