Me, a year ago: I’m so glad they’re building high density housing right in downtown. Without the parking minimums, it’ll be perfect for students and transit, this kind of high density walkable urbanism is what’s needed.

At this outdoor cafe, the cleaning crew is a couple of crows who do a thorough inspection and removal of crumbs after anyone leaves

@kstatz12 @ricci @dan i leave lots of such stuff around so the compiler can get the joy of optimizing away most of my code.
I literally wrote an inefficient (but safer as it does not use unsafe code) function today with the comment
// we’ll let the compiler optimize this one

For folks unaware, western fence lizard generate an antibacterial which neutralizes lyme disease and ends up disinfecting the ticks that bite them. They’re credited with reduction in lyme disease on the west coast.
