As a (broadly-speaking), which language do you prefer for your data processing and data analysis?

I’m particularly interested in understanding why so many people seem to use R these days - comments welcome!

@elduvelle I am not a Neuroscientist but I do both and with Python and Pandas.

@elduvelle Mostly financial data. What I like the most is that I can manipulate data in many different ways.

An exact match for a search result should never have an ad placed more prominently than that first exact match, imho. I truly believe allowing ads in that placement (especially for anything other than an exact match) is unethical.

If I search for "Mastodon", I don't want to see "Truth Social" up top because they paid to rank above the Mastodon app. That's just slimy.

@cassidy yes, exactly what Google Play Store is doing right now. Ads everywhere, more and more and more. This is going to nowhere.

My ideal lifestyle is not owning a car and just cycling to the beach in the mornings to go surfing. Turns out, not as cheap as you might think...🙃

@malwaretech Don't forget the coffee before the surfing, they tend to be expensive as well.

Looking for a recommendation(website,Substack, any other material...) where I can improve my SQL knowledge. I am looking for something that I can read(theory) and practice(exercisea). I really enjoy learning python in Substack but until now I have not found something similar for SQL.

Any advise or recommendation?
