@CodenameTim hahaha yes you can blame me! It’s definitely a slog to get through but so worth it in the end. I spent years thinking through the design and organization and pleased to say I got it really really close to perfectly efficient.

Once upon a time I lead the Actions team at @github. I wrote lots of Actions to do things, it was free (to me) and was great dogfooding.

One of them was to create a retro board in a repo every week, in a testing repo.

The action just failed and reminded me of the repo.

There are 223 empty projects going back to Mar 6 2020 on that repo.

Oops.

@andymckay @github I have an action the runs at the end of the month in a repo that creates a milestone and individual issues for the clients I need to bill with any special instructions related to them (who to email, PO Numbers, the details of the agreement in general). A bit of Python and a JSON data file and it’s been working perfectly for several years now.

@greg @ryancheley it's above average quality for sure, I was a bit worried but these were originally intended to just be fun at PyCon. I also picked up some others like the "I'm sorry about what I said when I was debugging" one.

You know what happens when you publicly shame someone for sharing covid test results? People stop sharing them. The test results don't change, just the ability of other people to learn that they may have been exposed and to test and take precautions themselves. Public shaming may make you feel superior, but it does nothing for harm reduction at best.

    Meeting new people at PyCon or really any Python related conference is so much fun. Making them realize the people who maintain the libraries they depend on are, you know, just people like them is so much fun and so much just instilled in our community
