It's a fascinating tale of a company that was a victim of the same momentum and growth that allowed it to exist at all.

In recent years it's become fashionable to say the 'Osborne Effect' wasn't the reason for its demise, but when you dig into the sales figures and behind the scenes shenanigans, it absolutely was. Just not in the over-simplified way that it often gets presented.

I've been a games journo for over 20 years. Not everything is mindless western cultural appropriation. Sometimes people know what they're describing.

PSA: PayPal is now flagging invoices that include the word 'Persia' for security review and holding back payments (as my stream manager has just discovered).

So if you're invoicing someone for, say, a video about a frikkin PC game DLC be careful what words you use. 🙄
