It appears that using Tailscale to send files between devices is broken, the unrecognised files are 0 bytes in size 🤦♂️ used to work flawlessly before.
I'm learning not to trust software updates because they break functionality more often than fix issues these days. Insta360 and Tailscale have both been a disappointment recently.
Made a quick dash to Poombarai as the dark clouds were threatening to take a massive piss, got back just in time 😅 Now chilling with dogs and cats, waiting for the downpour predicted for today.
Solar panels are having a difficult time grabbing any photons to keep charging the batteries, and it's only 13:30. Shut down excess load because next two days are expected to be overcast too.
When brain is tired, one of the first things to go offline is the ability to judge one's capacity to perform the task at hand.
I have an effective hack for myself that hasn't failed me in years of solo all-night driving/ #motorcycle riding: if I go over a speed bump without slowing down gradually, it's time to stop at next fuel station or cafe and take a 20 minute nap. No ifs, no buts. I've taken those 20 minute naps merely 15 minutes away from home (at the end of 18hr rides), no regrets.
The longest rides I have ever gone on covered 1600 km in a single day. Once over I was exhausted for sure, numb all over too, but I have never been able to imagine myself actually falling asleep riding a motorcycle, too much pounding my senses everywhere, all the time. That said, those rides weren't on cruisers.
Driving a car though, yeah, as soon as I get that feeling that 'just falling asleep for a moment will be fine' I pull over to rest, or let someone else take the wheel.
@harshad
No idea where you are but we are its not safe to do such things. Parking at a refueling plaza is just asking to be raped or robbed or murdered.
@Deus that's awesome, keep tinkering until you're comfortable to commit. If/when you feel like it, folks will be willing to help figure out last mile issues.
I find arguments of "but it's still not good enough" tiring, and it reeks of entitlement. I've seen brilliant people burn out after decades of work and yet those sitting on the fence keep demanding more with no mention of supporting ones doing the work. That's where I'm coming from.
This video is from several days after rescuing, with a little fur grown on its back.
My mother was visiting at the time and we both took turns changing the hot water bottle and feeding every 3 hours until the bbsqrl had fur on its tummy (indication that it could now self-regulate body temperature).
Since last update of @tailscale on Android (11), it shows as connected with exit node enabled and yet the VPN is not actually working. Cannot reach any other nodes and all traffic is going through ISPs IPs, not the exit node as the app says.
Joined beta program, the app kept crashing. Uninstalled and reinstalled the beta version, same issue as before: claims to be enabled, does nothing.
@harshad hello there! We would like to help get to the bottom of this. Would you mind contacting our support and attaching a bug report identifier? https://tailscale.com/contact/support
(Many moons ago, I had a python interpreter hooked into my mailbox on a *nix server - was fun to send an SMS from a dumb phone, which would be forwarded via an email gateway and receive the output back as SMS in seconds)
