Ivory for Mac will be released tomorrow!

We’ve decided to keep things simple as far as subscriptions go. If you paid for “Premier”, you’ll automatically get access to the Mac app as we have changed “Premier” to “Universal”.

If you paid for “Pro”, you’ll get the same access to “iOS + iPadOS”.

If you upgrade to “Universal”, your sub date will reset and you’ll be refunded the remainder of your Pro subscription.

Ivory for iOS/iPadOS 1.4 is out on the App Store! It will slowly roll out over the next few days, but if you want it now, go to the App Store and manually update.

We are closer to shipping Ivory v1.9! The big feature for this release is the ability to quote posts. If you'd like to test it out, jump back on the TestFlight version of Ivory. We've opened up some more TestFlight beta slots here as well:

The TestFlight version of Ivory doesn't use your active App Store subscription. You have to subscribe again in TestFlight. You do not get charged real money in TestFlight. It's for testing purposes only.

Sorry all. The Mac build stopped working because we didn't push an update out for awhile. Just a TestFlight thing. New build is out and should be working again if you update.

Also we are getting closer to releasing Ivory v1.4 for iOS and finishing up a few final things for the Mac App Store release. We appreciate your patience on this!

Ivory v1.7 is here! This release is all about hashtags. It's set to slowly roll out over the next few days, but you can force download it now from our App Store page:

Follow Hashtags. Search for and follow hashtags to see posts that are tagged around your interests. It's a great way to discover like- minded users across the Fediverse. Posts with hashtags you follow automatically show up in your home timeline, but you can optionally create a filter to hide them.
Feature Hashtags. Organize interests or projects with featured hashtags and bring them front and center for users to see in your profile. You can also go back and edit old posts to add hashtags and get them featured. Featured hashtags are only a button tap away when composing a new post so you won't forget to use them.
View Trending Hashtags. See what's trending right now on the Fediverse!

  • New “Mono” accent color
  • New option in Settings to turn off haptics feedback
  • Can now copy more text from a user’s profile (by holding down on their display name, username, or bio)

If you are part of our TestFlight Beta, we pushed update 1.8.1 which features completely revamped polls and a few other things. Give it a shot and let us know your thoughts!

No new TestFlight openings, but we are working hard to get this release finished and out to everyone!

*Note about TestFlight Subs: TestFlight doesn't read your app store sub and so you must subscribe in TestFlight if it asks. No real money is transferred as it's just a test environment.

Have you been receiving a bunch of spam? This is an emergency release with a custom filter added to the Filters tab (scroll to the bottom of that tab) to mute spam mentions. Turn this filter on and it should catch most of them. This will not stop spam push notifications.

We are still finishing up the big Quote Posts update so appreciate your patience on that one! 🙏

If you are on Ivory’s TestFlight, you should be able to try out our brand new share sheet on iOS and Mac. It's not perfect, but should be a huge improvement! Give it a try and let us know what you think.

You can access it by going to a page in your browser (or an image in your photo library), hitting the share icon, and then choosing Ivory's icon from the list.

:appicon_ivory: Ivory v1.8.3(iOS) is now available on the App Store! This is a tiny release that fixes a couple bugs and fixes some issues we've found when running on VisionOS in compatibility mode. @Drwave iOS should be stripping location metadata by default. And even if you set it not to, Mastodon servers strip them automatically as well.
