One of the things I like most about is the interface. It's so much cleaner than Mastodon. You can customize the theming and include a background too if you want. There's also emoji reactions, quote posting, antennas (a social listening feature - keywords, hashtags, etc), and so much more. For some dumb reason I restarted a Facebook account with the idea I would stay better connected with family and friends (maybe push some folks to the fediverse). I used a completely new email address, didn’t register my phone number, and didn’t follow a single person. My feed was immediately filled with garbage reminding me why I left the platform in the first place. Don’t ever change calckey, mastodon, and the rest of the fediverse.

@brome Honestly, that's a great question and I don't know. Sorta new here, so it's quite possible I have missed something. If so, that would be a bummer. The purpose and limitations of a lot of these extra features aren't very well explained.

There are a lot of things that are great about . Definitely the most feature rich platform on the that I've tried. One of my favorite features right now (besides markdown, search, and post edits) is antennas. They are separate feeds you create based on keywords. I setup one for Western Washington (based on city names), podcasting, and photography. It's a social listening tool that's FREE. ​:blobboneblewobblehyper:​

Meta has absolutely destroyed Instagram and this new (feature?) further devolves the product. Can't say I'm surprised. The only plus (if you want to call it that), is that it sounds like it will be connected to the fediverse.
