The last 10 years of being married to @Demios have been pretty amazing. So amazing, in fact, that if you were to ask me out of the blue how long we'd been married I would probably say "five?". Time flies when you're having fun (also when you've had 2 kids). Here's to 10 times 10 times 10 plus infinity more! (as our oldest would say :)

From this Apple support article, I (mis)understood that the M3 could 'only' drive two displays in total. 🤔

I have three running here if you include the laptop panel. 💪

I was a bit worried when I got this laptop for work that I couldn't use my existing display setup. I was happily worrying unnecessarily.

@gedeonm as a follower of Christ, I can tell you this is not what He’d want.

Jesus welcomed all, and without getting preachy, I believe he died for ALL.

The Bible does not mention transgender identity, beyond some Old Testament rules about cross dressing that were for the time and situation.

Because of my eyesight, I’m still on the old DLA and have been told I won't have to move over. It's not much, but it does help with the travel costs.

We’ve reduced the price of our B-stock Factory Seconds systems and now have a Framework Laptop 13 barebones configuration available for under $500 for the first time.

This is the i7-1165G7 model, so it has healthy performance too. Our Factory Seconds systems come without memory and storage, so to reduce the all-in price, we’re making refurbished DDR4 available at half the price of new.

Looking for a for a system, ideally with a powerline backhaul (though maybe WiFi 6 makes that unnecessary?). My router handles the main network stuff like fibre uplink. DHCP and DNS, so no need for that, but multiple VLAN support would be good so I can make a proper isolated IoT network as well as guest. Any recommendations?

I’ve got an aging Deco P9 system which has been ok, but more open and expert-friendly would be better!

@Floppy I would second the UniFi suggestion. Only thing to consider is everything but the Express needs PoE.

Realised (after far too long) that the cross-network chat app https://beeper.com is a proper Matrix client, and all their cross-network connections are open source Matrix bridges. I've finally given it a go, and I have to say I'm incredibly impressed. I'd recommend checking it out.

@Floppy ah, that makes a lot of sense.

That registration provider is grabbing the hardware ID from the hosted Mac.

Apple are then seeing two devices with the same hardware ID and probably banning on that basis.

I’m torn on this one, maybe less so if the bridge code is open source and therefore able to be audited.

Apple could do better here and contribute a registration provider that’s tied to a verified Apple ID.

@Floppy my major concern with RCS is that the E2EE implementation is proprietary Google code.

RCS is client / server encryption out of the box, but not E2EE.

Personally, I’d always recommend Signal over any default apps.
