Manyfold v0.67.0 is out, and introduces optional anonymous usage tracking so that we know many instances there are. This will be really useful to us, so please turn it on if you can! We're excited to see how many of you are out there! ❤️

The next release of Manyfold will include OPTIONAL anonymous usage tracking, purely so that we can count how many people are running it.

This is OFF BY DEFAULT, and all the information that's sent and stored is shown in the UI before you turn it on. We've tried to be as minimal, clear and up-front as possible.

Manyfold v0.66.0 has been released! This release focuses on accessibility again, particularly around keyboard control of the 3d models. But, in order to make that happen, we had to do a big rewrite of the renderer that should make it much faster and smoother! We hope you like it 😄

Manyfold v0.65.0 has been released! This release is all about , after our audit last week. There's a big pile of improvements around screen reading, keyboard navigation, colour, labelling, and so on, which will benefit everyone! More to come, too!

It's been great to be able to get some expert advice and then put time into this, thanks to NLNet and @NGIZero. It's a rare opportunity in open source!

Just had a great accessibility testing session with some lovely folks from HAN University of Applied Sciences, supported by @NGIZero. I've taken so many notes, and written down so many things to fix.

My favourite bit though was the incredible 8-bit wall of noise the screen reader made when the page was loading a bunch of models, to which they said “it's technically a WCAG success, but not a UX success” 🤣

2024-W16 is out, with some behind-the-scenes insight into what went on in Manyfold last week, and the work that went into release v0.63.0 which came out yesterday.

Includes OBJ file edge cases, tablecloth tricks swapping out the background runner, and getting very annoyed at the macOS filesystem's case handling.

Manyfold v0.60.0 is out now!

This release adds mesh analysis, which makes sure your models are manifold. That is, they don't have any holes or other errors, so they'll be OK to print. We can't fix them for you (yet!), but at least we can tell you what needs fixing before you try to print 😀

It's BIG release time; Manyfold is going multi-user! v0.59.0 adds user login, signup, and a range of roles & permissions so you can start sharing your library directly with friends. And, it's a big step towards our goal of being able to join the !

Never fear though, it's all optional; if you don't turn it on, Manyfold will keep working exactly as before.

Manyfold v0.58.0 released! This version comes with full French translation, and most of Polish as well, thanks to our great translation volunteers!

Also, multiuser support is coming very soon, a lot of the groundwork is being worked on, so stay tuned!

@silverpill @helge so is the general idea that instead of using a custom object type, you use a standard one (like Document) and add custom properties to it that other software can handle if they want and know how to?

Currently in testing, German translation for Manyfold! If your browser is set to prefer German in your language settings, you can see it in progress on https://try.manyfold.app, and it will be appearing in a release as soon as we've got it all translated!
