i'm in my 40s now. not feeling a whole lot of nostalgia for past times yet. tbh it doesn't feel like much has changed. most of it is just more optimized. and for some things, i'd rather wish they finally disappear for good than come back again.

I didn't think of filtering out mails containing "I need" before. But after seeing the examples, I realized it makes perfect sense in pretty much any scenario. 😆

Mach is taking a shot at a WebGPU-like API in pure Zig, with Zig as shading language:

IMHO this makes a lot of sense, the native WebGPU implementation libraries turned out to contain quite a bit of fat.

TBH looking at Dawn I was rolling around that idea in my head too (WebGPU without the shader compiler isn't all that much code, and I would have moved that offline like in sokol-gfx).

No spoilers but so far I very much enjoy it. Somehow they managed to capture the magic of the 80ies families movies and even improve on some parts.

And while I'm at series on Disney+, I also recommend: A Murder at the End of the World

It's not perfect but the chemistry between the leading couple is <3.

We need a new word for "AI" in games that makes it clear we mean FSMs, HTNs, GOAP, etc. Nothing to do with all these modern LLMs, scamming investors based on unachievable promises of what's just around the corner, or trying to automate away good creative jobs with plagiarism lie-bots.

Though that could be implemented with or without AI.

Personally, I wouldn't label either group AI.
That is unless the model is updated after every interaction. Meaning there was an actual learning / change in classification.

@raptor85 haha, exactly what I had to learn the hard way. That I need to get close and above. Before, I was trying way too many times from afar and failing miserably. Interesting, that they decided to change that with the aim nerf.

@raptor85 interestingly Ibis took me only 3 tries. The first two I ran out of ammo. I guess that was post nerf though.
I think it was the only encounter in which I used lock on in addition to constantly quick boosting.
