Just back from a short run. 800m hillrepeats with 60eg. The tricky part was the 32°C (fels supposedly like 37°C) and the 75% humidity. Now trying to cool down, literally.

Don't often travel by #train in #SoutheastAsia. But this was very convenient. Except, they take all the possible personal data for the ticket.

Bin in #Südostasien selten mit dem #Zug unterwegs. Doch das war ganz angenehm.
Bloss wurden alle persönlichen Daten für das Billett abgefragt.

Brought our rubbish (of the last 3 month) to the recycling place in the village.

Running while on holiday in a foreign country. It is clear that they are not welcoming anyone on their trails.
And if you run through the forest, they expect you to shout while doing it as it says on the last image.

I'm Madeleine! I have a PhD in #biophysics from #UofT. I studied how bacteria with #CRISPR immune systems interact with viruses (blog post: https://uoftbiophysics.github.io/blog/2022/why-null-models/).

Now I study active transportation! In my postdoc I am researching how to measure the impact of #cycling infrastructure and plan better networks. I love #walking and #biking, live in Ottawa (hi #ottbike!), volunteer with @bikeottawa, and made a train costume for our #CargoBike with my husband last weekend.
