IE, there are people who would rather let others die in the streets than have their taxes raised. some people are just terrible human beings who believe 'i got mine, fuck everyone else' which is antithetical to socialism, and requires a heavy hand via regulation.

its 'growth at all costs'. profit first and only, quarter over quarter. 'breaking even' is failure in the batshit insane world of big business and the stock market. even if everyone gets paid for a job well done and the client is perfectly happy, someone needs to get extra paid . cut corners. cut services. at some point youre too big for it to matter. what are people going to do? go somewhere else? hahahahwalmarthahaha

well, im not as im not using interfaces that are affected by the vulnerability (im using named, containerized network interfaces), but i appreciate the info!

it was initially reported as 'linux & android' were not affected.

i stand by my statement that this isnt about the VPN provider, its a client problem. so the question about Proton is moot.

youre correct. its the local routing table that is vulnerable, which is usually handled by the OS.

I had not yet heard of any mitigation techniques from the vpn provider side. glad to know they are assisting with this OS/client failure.
