If you are a Gnome-Mobile user and you want to get rid of the close button on your title bars, just copy this in your terminal and hit enter:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences button-layout 'appmenu'

And to revert back:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences button-layout 'appmenu:close'

It's now easy to try out the iwd wifi backend in [1]!

EDIT: Do NOT use iwd if you have a device with qualcomm SDM845 SOC (e.g., oneplus 6/6T, poco f1, etc). See: https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/issues/2440

Please give it a try and report any issues!

I'm hopeful that we can replace wpa_supplicant as the default in the OS ๐Ÿ˜

@craftyguy I tried it out. It got me into boot loop. I had to reinstall the OS.. As soon the package is launched, phone freezes and reboots..

@fell They do differ. Phosh is more mature, but GNOME is more fluent and modern. GNOME Mobile is Gnome Shell patched for smartphones, currently being upstreamed to the main Gnome Shell..
