a very incomplete list of games that work on macOS 10.15+, but Steam will tell you are incompatible:

  • ARK: Survival Evolved
  • BattleBlock Theater
  • Goat Simulator
  • Lethal League
  • Geometry Dash
  • Melody's Escape
  • A Hat in Time (outdated)
  • Garry's Mod (branch)

if you have a Mac, it's worth going through your "incompatible" games in your Steam library and seeing which ones work and which ones don't! gaming on Mac really isn't as bad as Valve want you to think

@thelinuxEXP Sorry if this question was answered before, but why are your videos usually 50 FPS instead of 60 FPS? I would say 60 FPS matches better with the devices that web videos are usually watched on. Is there a reason you chose 50 FPS?

@thelinuxEXP Ohh, makes sense. Well, there's also freaks like me who notice the frame judder, but that's probably less noticeable than flickering lights. After all, I can just change my TV to 50 Hz and enjoy perfection :)

  • installed Wine and DXVK
  • went to the website, got the installer
  • double clicked Gw2Setup.exe

Does anyone knows how to clear the clipboard content in Linux from within the CLI? Using a script or whatever.

I know KeePassXC does it, but I'm looking at the code and all it does is, if the screen manager is X11 it uses the Qt API, and if it's Wayland it calls wl-copy. As I'm in X11 I don't know what the fuck I should use.

I tried calling xclipboard but it says it's in use, probably by my DE or something.

@Satiah I would say they are daily driveable with caveats. You can do almost anything you'd expect from a modern smartphone. The only things you cannot rely on are:

  1. Camera. There are no drivers yet, it is being worked on.
  2. GPS Navigation. Location detection works, but it isn't reliably updated. There are also no good navigation apps yet.
  3. Calls. Calls generally work, but you can't 100% rely on it yet.

This banner is more complicated than you'd think. ​:drgn_mlem:​ I wanted to give the header a banner-colored background that (almost) never looks disconnected from the banner.
Your first instinct probably would be to make the header transparent and add some empty space to the top of the image, but then then the padding scales with the image and you get a humongous padding on wide viewports and a way too small padding on narrow viewports.

My solution is a border-image which uses a 1px slice from the banner image. It scales exactly how I want most of the time.

@volpeon Well, the only think I could think of is giving the image a large margin. Then, you can set it as background of a div and essentially crop it.

Edit: Doesn't SVG have a property for the background color? 🤔
