i have been reworking some security bits and a friend got swept up in my sand traps. he's on iOS, isn't a techie, doesn't think he's using a VPN or using special security/privacy settings — but his traffic is coming from CDN addresses (akamai, cloudflare). something's going on that i didn't know about. can anyone point me to learning links?

It’s CORRELATION. Correlation is its own thing; it can manifest in a full range between strong and weak; and opens up key questions about why two (or more) things are correlated. If things are correlated that means they are hooked together in some way for some reason statistically. And that matters in its own way. If X and Y are correlated, but X doesn’t cause Y, who cares? Semi-related: we have a new appliance that uses this forbidden word and it has quickly become my least favourite appliance, despite “dispensing” one of my favourite items (coffee). I’m profoundly conflicted about this.

Debian Users - Be aware the maintainer of the KeePassXC package for Debian has unilaterally decided to remove ALL features from it. You will need to switch to keepassxc-full to maintain capabilities once this lands outside of testing/sid.
