Ich sehe keine Notwendigkeit, einen extra § im StGB einzuführen, der dann eine extra Strafe für Angriffe auf Politiker vorsieht. Zum einen gibt es genug §§, die als Handhabe gegen Gewalttäter zur Verfügung stehen (Nötigung, Körperverletzung, Beleidigung, üble Nachrede, ...).

Zum anderen sollte man aus der Vergangenheit eigentlich gelernt haben, dass solche Gesetze dann irgendwann als Mittel eingesetzt werden können, um eine legitime Opposition einzuschüchtern oder zu beseitigen.

@usi Körperliche Angriffe, Nötigung in Form von Einschüchterung, und auch manche Formen von Beleidigung gegen Politiker sind ohnehin strafbar - genau wie gegen alle anderen. Da braucht es echt keine Sonderprivilegien.

Everybody will latch onto their vague concerns and ignore the fact that they literally implemented the shit that got smeared everywhere, aren’t they?

@leonido Bei den beschriebenen ideologischen Ansätzen habe ich erstmal meine Zweifel. Von neuen inhaltlichen Wegen oder einer neuen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Publikum wird gar nicht gesprochen - nur von Effizient, technologischer Kooperation und senderübergreifenden Nutzerprofilen (oh mein Gott). Wie wäre es mal mit progressiverem Content?

Die Berliner Cops dürfen wohl ihre Dienstwaffen wieder privat mit sich führen. Die zugehörige Dienstanweisung ist allerdings Verschlusssache. 2016 wurde das private Führen nach diversen Zwischenfällen untersagt.

@jascha wtf. Ich erinnere gern daran, dass die Britische Polizei im Weltkrieg nur Schlagstöcke hatte. Und es war im 20ten Jahrhundert auch durchaus üblich, Dienstwaffen nach dem Dienst einzuziehen. Daraus eine VS zu machen finde ich absurd. Ich will die Begründung hören.

Walking through the night in once-more-vibrant Berlin, from the East center to the West center. Weekends are quite lively at the moment, with lots of pop-crowd partying. The city is growing more metropolitan, and people behave accordingly. An early and hot spring has people out in mid-summer party dress. I'm in more of a transportation mood, playing rock for a ~20 km "walk".

I was thinking of making a list of types of software that most people think is "too difficult" and they leave to "the experts", e.g.:

  • geometric modeling kernel
  • integrated circuit floorplanning
  • cryptography
  • compiler backends
  • database query planners
  • electromagnetic simulation (antennas, transmission lines, microstrip design, etc)
    ...

Oh, it's all applied math.

(As an aside, I just want to note that there's some really difficult work to be done in accessibility and UX too.)
