Sometimes it's just hard to function as a weirdo in society.

We're renting out our old house, about 2 hours away from our current place. (yes, yes, landlords are horrible, we're the worst for not just giving it away, etc.)

So we had partially converted the lawn to native gardens. We want to preserve that, because every little bit of habitat helps. We'd also really like to keep the yard nice for the folks living there, and the neighborhood.

Someone in my friends slack left our politics channel because we are pro voting. They felt that being around anyone openly pro voting was to be subjected to being shamed for being antivoting. They are part of the "Biden is "pro genocide" so I won't vote at all" group.

There's so much there I just don't get, but not being willing to talk to your allies about your tactics is the top of the list.
