Justice #Merchan says he believes that the #jury wants him to repeat a significant portion of the #JuryInstructions.

He will read pages 6-35.

Each page yesterday took him just a little more than a minute, so this will take >30 mins.

Between that & the testimony readbacks, also expected to take >30 mins, there will likely be >1 hour this morning w/the jury in the courtroom, not actively deliberating.

My child just sent me a text about a book by a white guy named Sam Forster who said the following:

@daihard @Andres4NY Yup, we go through the turnstiles to exit. At many stations during rush hour there's a huge bottleneck at the turnstiles as incoming and outgoing crowds all try to use them. Adding time for proof of payment on exit to that mess wouldn't be pretty.
How does it work in Japan?

@daihard @darwinwoodka @Andres4NY Once when I was visiting a friend in Amsterdam, I used my fare card to exit a station and turned around to find her behind the turnstile, looking for her card. I somehow got back in and now we were both trapped. Luckily the scary cop who came to investigate believed I was a hapless tourist confused about how things work there.

Kind of astonishing to read that a US university has to designate "a recognized free speech zone on campus," but students are still arrested for exercising their rights in that zone. The Constitution is just a worthless piece of paper I guess.
