If you've ever found yourself missing the "good old days" of the #web, what is it that you miss? (Interpret "it" broadly: specific websites? types of activities? feelings? etc.) And approximately when were those good old days?
No wrong answers — I'm working on an article and wanted to get some outside thoughts.
Wrote a somewhat rambly, unscripted, not proofread blog post about why I returned to stock Android and some of my feelings around the current state of the AOSP.
@QuadRadical among others, BankID (was broke at some point but fixed later) which I need to identify myself when signing in to banking, tax, and health-related services - Faster BankID (as linked to) doesn't work though probably due to an unlocked bootloader.
The "Coopay"-function in the Coop app (Scandiavian grocery chain).
There was also one or two apps that didn't allow opening with fingerprint instead of code - though this seems to be due to bad code as it worked other places.
@kuchenmampfer
It is possible to get a physical OTP-generator for bankID, but it's really impractical imo - just like how you can refrain from using Vipps (cashapp but good) and just pay people in cash, but like- barely anyone in Norway uses cash so good luck with getting any change.
@cyrusShould be correct - grabbed from the official site and verified the sha256sum. Only reason why I thought about the SD-card is because I suddenly remembered that the guide said to remove SIM-cards and me thinking "well that's stupid, why would I ever need to do that?" before flashing :P
Also tried enabling roaming on the phone, setting the mobile network manually, resetting APNs, rebooting etc. to see if any of that helped (which it did not).
@cyrus Hmm, I can't see any mention of region neither on their site or in the download - though IIRC Fairphone only operates within Europe so I don't think that would be the issue?
