Uansett hva som skjer med nå er jeg lettet i dag! Hun har vært en viktig støttespiller for Nord, og jeg fryktet at de ikke ville ha ryggrad nok til å gå imot henne — som også innebærer å innrømme en tidligere grov feil.

Jeg orker ikke et samfunn hvor de mektige bare kan gjøre hva faen de vil, uten konsekvenser. Det var derfor jeg viet såpass mye tid til å avdekke plagiat i oppgaven hennes, og jeg er glad og takknemlig for at andre ble med og at media brukte det.

Er det egentlig noen grunn til at Vipps trenger å kun være en app? Hvorfor skal man ikke kunne logge inn på en nettside og gjøre akkurat de samme tingene der?

Hilsen bruker et operativsystem på mobilen som Vipps ikke ser ut til å like lenger, selv om det gikk fint før, og vil at folk ikke skal tvinges til å godta alle Google eller Apple sine betingelser og overvåking for å kunne delta i det norske samfunnet.

It's interesting that with being acquired by users respond with their hope that it doesn't now enshitify.

And I kind of feel: People know. They know that these companies are unsafe stewards of their work tools. But invest in that system regardless.

Not sure how to convince people to invest in open source instead so this kind of thing can't happen. Not just hope won't, but structurally can't happen.

Imagine the following situation: your project is MIT licensed. Someone takes the whole project and white-labels it (changes the name), then sells it commercially without providing the source code or sharing any of the sales revenue with you. So, I can't seem to get muse sounds to work properly on EndeavourOS (MuseScore just crashes when I try to apply them) which means I might have to, yet again, hop over to another distro.

Might just settle on Fedora tbh, I don't really feel like using Debian or Ubuntu based

I tried to install Nix today and somehow got completely locked out of my system within the first hour. For some reason it didn't want to log in to my account from either SDDM nor TTY, but logging into root (which I set to the same password with the "use same password for root"-button) in TTY worked without issue.

@gavi maybe compared to Twitter, but I'd reckon TikTok and Instagram are about the same there.

Also, I doubt that it will grow to a point beyond handling, both becuase no other fedi services have done so and because I think the vast majority of moderators would know when to stop accepting sign-ups (both due to server expenses and due to moderation being exhausting)
