rmpf i am annoyed because i would like to put my second account on a not-mastodon instance (friendica looks nice and i do love the compatibility) but there isn't one that corresponds to the topic of the account. yes, i am starting to see why so many people on the fedi are annoyed by the way that mastodon has taken over when it's really… not the best of the available tools

Isn't the point of social media to you know...have discussions? The way you framed your post, sounded exactly like that: "here's something I find annoying, wish it wasn't so!" then you're annoyed that people bring you options?

Got a question for #calckey & #fediverse at large. Is there a #decentralized platform for long-form, “blog” types of things? Been wanting to get back into #blogging for games I play, along with personal projects.
Any recommendations? Or should I just run my own blog with WordPress, Ghost, or the many others that have been around for a long while?
Decided to make it official: I have moved on from #Mastodon. Just set the account to point to this one. I'm enjoying #calckey a lot more than I expected, and don't feel like I'm missing out on much. If I am, it's being worked on anyway.
Looks like I'm also gonna be trying to #create & #develop a native #calckey#ios#app that puts this platform first. Got a base going tonight, might keep hacking on it for a bit. Definitely will develop it in the open, so I'll post about it when there's something nice to show. Until then 🤐haha.

I love to play #games, so a big #gamer. I #stream sometimes, but a tad #shy so trying to get over that. Actually do #gamedev as a hobby. If I find something interesting enough, I usually start contributing towards it...so never sure what I'll be up to next.

@kainoa I have been looking for a reason to learn #Android#development more(I specialize in anything #Apple & serverside) - so this may be that project I've been looking for.
I'll be entirely honest though, $200 is not super enticing in of itself. It won't be the reason I decide to pursue creating an app or not. I'm sure it'll help get the word out though! 🪩

@kainoa Alright, after thinking about it over night I'm rather interested in making an iOS app specificly for Calckey. Couple questions to help get me started hopefully:
Where can I generate an API Key for my app so I can perform user auth?
If first was a silly question due to #fediverse thing, mind pointing me in the direction of some documentation that clears this up?
Want to start with the basic authentication flow & them work from there for the features you listed in the post, along with Calckey specific features so it's not overshadowed by generic fediverse apps. 😉
