Question for musicians and creators: Are there any articles on the benefits of streaming for musicians?

I know the many downsides of streaming/subscription, but I’m struggling to find useful information about what (if any?) benefits there are to musicians.

@onpaperwings Distribution? Without a big label behind you I’m not sure how any smaller artists would even have the possibility of access without something like streaming. But maybe I’m just thinking digital vs physical media and what distinguishes streaming vs 99 cents a song…

After spending an unreasonable amount of time digging into fontTools and AFDKO, cmap tables, and its ilk, I bow my head even more towards anyone who dares to make fonts.

@colinmford It took some arcane magic and probably dumb luck, but managed to get things to do what we needed merging two custom variables fonts into one mega font. No codepoint overlaps between the two sources but secretly wonder what we might not be seeing that's buggered.
