"I never understood wind. You know, I know windmills very much. Gases are spewing into the atmosphere. You know we have a world, right? So the world is tiny compared to the universe. So tremendous amount of fumes and everything." --Donald Trump

This happened to me today while reading negative reviews of a flip-phone on Amazon today. Let's just say quite a few people from the smartphone era have no idea how a non-smart-phone works. smh

Seems odd to me that there are, apparently, no discussions on Mastodon about Zoho.

I've been using them for 14 years and they have about 100 million users.

In other words, everyone in jail or prison for a victimless crime should be set free. Yes? That's what they're saying.

What they are not mentioning is that in such cases of victimless crimes, the tacit assumption is that the State is the victim. The State is the victim in Trump's frauds because the law was violated. The fact that Deutche Bank isn't complaining is irrelevant.

Well, that was interesting. I was just out walking an errand. I've been in fog, entered fog, watched fog move, been out on the Venice Pier in Los Angeles countless times at midnight, fishing, and watched fog roll in. But I've never had fog form around me. I thought maybe my eyes were acting up or something.

No wind, temp is 47F, dewpoint 46F, so a slight variation in temperature or barometric pressure is all it takes.

So the State of Florida wants to provide financial support to current and future Florida criminals who want to run for president. Makes sense, for Florida, I guess.

This tracking stuff on the Internet is past ridiculous. I notice that when I pull up my Orders page on Amazon, uBlock blocks 133 items. When I pull up Accuweather for my town, it blocks 273 items.

Here on Mastodon, both uBlock and Privacy Badger read zero. Funny how that is.

I would have phrased it a bit differently. It's not that the government hates trains and people. Oil companies don't like trains because they move freight and people far too efficiently. Oil company influence is through the government but the money powering that influence comes from oil companies.

Hmm. Over the past two days I've noticed a change in rhetoric used in the news media regarding Trump, Giuliani, election fraud, and the insurrection. Softening words like "alleged" and "supposed" have disappeared suddenly. Putting things in quotes has disappeared. Now it's just words like illegal and false with no softening-words.

I wonder what this means. Are they done harvesting income from scandal-generator Donald Trump and cutting him loose? Have they come to the realization that the court proceedings will not go well for Trump and his minions and are getting on the side of reality, truth, and the majority of voters so they don't end up looking stupid? What's Fox going to do when the people they've supported for years end up in jail?

Amd what's wrong with Giuliani? He's a lawyer and should know better. He just got hit with a $148 million judgment so he declared bankruptcy. Does he not know that you can't declare bankruptcy in order to avoid paying an obligation? And he comes out of court after the judgment and runs his mouth some more, so the lawyers who won the $148 million judgment just sued him again. Senility?

Did you know that you can be tracked on the Internet without your knowledge or consent, without trackers or cookies? It can be done by means of your "browser fingerprint".

I've been participating in a study on browser fingerprinting for the past couple months. You can participate and learn about your browser fingerprint here:

https://browser-fingerprint.cs.fau.de/?lang=en

The study is simple. It's anonymous. Once a week you get an email reminder to check your finger print. The system "fingerprints" your browser, let's you know if the fingerprint has been seen before and whether it's trackable over time. You can also see what characteristics of the browser are being noted (there are hundreds).

I have several friends with Keurig coffee makers and we have one at the restaurant. The coffee is always weak and tasteless compared to drip brewed (Bunn). Even the "espresso" cartridges are equally weak -- weaker than ordinary coffee and nothing like the espresso I make at home. Is this just how it is or is there some trick to it? And why does everybody have one if it works so poorly? I'm puzzled.
