Apple's attempt to prevent fingerprinting through the required reason API seems to be useless. Facebook just updated their iOS app. The app still sends the uptime and disk space information off-device. It declares reasons that prevent the app from sending such data as per Apple documentation:

Nice! @brave for iOS just got updated to support the new "marketplace-kit" scheme. Brave only calls the scheme when trackers blocking is disabled. As we reported earlier, Apple implemented the new scheme in a way that allows tracking across websites based on the unique client_id.
Now users in the EU can use Brave to safely install alternative marketplaces. We would like to thank Brave for considering our advice about potential #tracking.

Here's with all the recent seasons (COVID-19 era) -- all of the spikes on this were COVID-19, not influenza since 2020. You can see the 2023-24 Season had a big spike in December./January, which is when the last big COVID-19 went through (XBB.1.5) -- which hit hard in Dec/Jan but then tailed off rapidly, one of the omicron variants. Haven't seen a spike since then (cross fingers). The blue/purple line with a lot of spikes was 2019-2020 season when COVID-19 first appeared in the US. #ILI#influenza#disease#tracking

Hintergrund, der Anbieter will seinen Kunden den Zugang zu den eigenen Dokumenten, wie Rechnung etc. nur noch ausschließlich über eine mit #tracking verseuchte App anbieten. #followerpower retrööt erwünscht.
@stefan@voorstad Perhaps (only guessing) you don't overview completely the ramifications of using #Google and the like. I do to large extent. I personally had two quite frightening experiences with Google myself. Since then I am very strict in my decline of Google and the rest of the gang, sorry. #privacy#bigdata#tracking
