In theory it had a “Frank gets very annoyed about people trafficking and does something about that” plot. But really it was “Frank drives recklessly through France” and “Frank kicks the bad guys’ butts while covered in motor oil”. 😬😬😂

I was asked what the first movie that ever scared me was.

It's impossible for me to say. Go far enough back and memories of movies blur into a single thing.

I can say it was black and white and had Peter Cushing in it.

An American Werewolf in London aged around 14 I think, specifically the jump scare scene in the hospital bed and the monster nazis. But it also kickstarted my love of werewolf lore.

If we’re being totally accurate though, the first thing I remember watching that absolutely terrified me was Happy Harmonies “Bottles” which was on the TV one afternoon (a repeat showing I guess). I was around 7 years old (I know this because I used to stand in front of the TV to hear it better before they realised I was Deaf) and it gave me nightmares for weeks.

Sorry! It was for a charity anthology a few years ago which went heavy on the body horror.

I swear if I wasn’t such a weirdo my own teeth stuff would have broken me. As it was, I just turned it into my special interest and learned as much about it as I could. I’ll probably write something freaky about it all and pass the trauma on to someone else. 😂
