News Organizations need to start using current images of Trump. They keep using older images, and then juxtaposing them to current Biden or any of his primary opponents. Here is a June 2023 image. Much different than the bio photos.

    @juddlegum One aspect of the jury pool for the trial against Trump is the millions of citizens that have training in the handling of federal documents. The number of past & present federal employees, federal contractors, and military personnel must be in the millions of people. Every single person in those groups received mandatory & regularly scheduled training in document handling. It will be difficult for defense lawyers to exclude them all during jury selection.

    @Green_Footballs I can see a persong observing the seemingly last minute change of venue to Florida and Trump's hand picked judge getting the case and be alarmed that the fix is in. The MAGA's would jump all over that if the situation were reversed. I don't believe that because of those pesky 'facts' that explain the situation, but I can see someone connecting the dots in a conspiratorial manner.

    I’m really glad to see my pessimism about the DOJ’s investigation wasn’t correct in this case, but I don’t think I’ll apologize, because there’s an enormous weight of historical wrong-doing that led to that pessimism.

    But I am glad it turned out differently this time, and it almost makes me want to hope things will change for the better.

    @Green_Footballs There is still a lot to be nervous about. The path is fraught with peril. Say Trump is convicted, appeals to the supreme court, and SCOTUS scraps the Espionage Act of 1917 the way they did the voting rights act. 'It's not over until it's over.'

In western states we have had smoke like that during every fire season, but with the larger populations in the east, there could be some bad health results. We purchased hepa air purifiers units a few years ago for dust & pollen, & they help with the smoke also. You can make your own also with air filters and a fan.

    @darren @w7voa In New Mexico we have the same questions, but our media is silent. We are not hearing anything about the flights from Deming. One would think local journalists would be investigating what's going on here. On the other hand, the population density of NM is 17 people per Sq. Mile, so it's easy for human trafficking to go undetected, at first.

So I tried to find out exactly who PE investors are. There are institutional investors & Russian oligarchs & Sovereign Wealth Funds.     @Teri_Kanefield @silverhorseman Yes the MAGA lawyers sanctioned so far are in the double digits. But the minimal sanctions handed down by self-regulating lawyer groups are not enough. These cases are the legal side of sedition, not the equivalent of a random lawyer stealing escrow money. More needs to be done and the punishment advertised. How about the modern equivalence of 'Stocks & Pillory': the seditionist lawyer's names in 'click-bait' headlines on Yahoo news 🙂

    That's a good way to put it, except I do want the lawyer regulating orgs. to overtly protect democracy more. The MAGA-Federalist judges already put politics first & we need to fight back. Instead of sanctioning a lawyer with a 3 yr. suspension for making a false claim in a court filing (that sounds so mundane), if
    the court filing was to enable the overthrow of democracy, that should be a stiffer penalty, like lifetime disbarment in all the states and territories of the USA.
