This Netgear router had no less than 5 CVEs disclosed to its name due to stack-based buffer overflows in the SOAP that resulted in an exploit chain can be leveraged by an attacker to gain pre-authentication remote code execution on affected devices.

Bill coming this week to give statutory powers to 🇬🇧 CMA , which “will target a small number of tech companies generating at least £25bn in global turnover, or £1bn in the UK, with tailored rules” (many of which will be similar to the 🇪🇺 )

@1br0wn I’m concerned that if we view tech regulation only through the lens of “competition” then individuals’ digital rights will suffer. We need strong privacy and data regulation as well. Companies competing on a level playing field to see who can best strip people of their privacy and autonomy would not be a good result.
