Capitalism doesn’t care about humanity, only profits. Any safeguards self imposed will always fall to profitability in a capitalist system. It’s why regulations and a government people trust are important.

Greed is a more effectively harmful human impulse than even hate. We’ve merely been propagandized to ignore greed, oh im sorry “rational self-interest,” as the personal failing and character deficit it is.

The widely accepted thought terminating cliche of “it’s just business” should never have been allowed to propagate. Humans should never feel comfortable leaving their empathy/decency at the door in our interactions, not for groups they hate, and not for groups they wish to exploit value from. Cruelty is cruelty, and doing it to make moooaaaaaar money for yourself makes it significantly more damning, not less.

I hate this rhetoric. It implies that this a refular occurence. It is just a man hating comment. If this is happening to you frequently, maybe you are the problem. I am tired of being assumed an asshole just because I am a man. It is sexist. Plain and simple.

So you deny “unproblematic” women regularly experiencing unsafe behavior from men who are entitled and you’re also denying people’s gender identity - otherwise, why would it be a waste of time for a woman’s fight for her right to access women’s spaces? So you’re hateful towards people you perceive to be “men” while complaining about “man haters” elsewhere. Logical inconsistencies in favor of hate is a hallmark sign of right wing extremist views.

Hey OP, how come all your posts get upvoted in large ~5 minute intervals all by the same few accounts? Sure looks like someone is logging into multiple other accounts to upvote themselves because they’re getting ratio’d so hard.

And I just checked a few of those accounts, the four I looked at all stopped posting exactly 5 months ago.🤔

Is it immoral, unethical, or illegal to use movie prop money for collection plates, tip jars, beggars, and strip clubs?

If I’m paying for my goods and services with actual money, but using prop money for tips, is that bad? In my understanding, tips are given of one’s own free will and would be considered a gift to the recipient, the same as if I gave flowers or cookies as a tip. I’ve also seen fake money passed off by religious people that...

    I was about to left Lemmy/Kbin for good when some stupid fascists from Lemmy(grad).ml called me names and harassed me, despite the fact that I'm neurodivergent (like that would stop them from doing such actions, but anyway). And then I started blocking every community and user from those places, as well as any community/magazine about US politics or about any US topic because I don't give a damn heck about that place. And my experience improved really well.

    D&D’s 5e SRD was released under CC-BY. It only includes one subclass per class and a handful of monsters, but it’s all the rules.

    Tales of the Valiant and Pathfinder 2e both have SRDs licensed under the ORC license and are based in D&D-type gameplay.

    FATE is a different type of TTRPG that has a SRD licensed both under OGL and CC-BY.

    Powered by the Apocalypse is a different system and has a permissive, but hand-wavey license.

    Of all of these, ToV is the most like 5e without being controlled by a multi-national, public company.
