"But wait, Scott, I thought the AdventureSmart Webinar Series was about Search and Rescue??"

... it is!

In many places, local Search and Rescue members are often tasked to help out during evacuations -- to spread the word, direct traffic, help the vulnerable, and rescue those caught in a tough place.

By training people to be ready for an emergency we're reducing the number and severity of tasks during a disaster.

You can help by registering, viewing and boosting!

@MsMerope @Hiker_Scott Gah, evacuating pets. Pet rabbits are extremely difficult to manage (especially since they are easily stressed.. and stress kills them). Dogs, a lot easier. Crate + chill pills + treats. Fish are also on their own, LOL.

@ai6yr @MsMerope

In our prep session I was talking with our expert, Celine who is a pet first aid instructor and veterinary professional (and a very smart and engaging person), and she was mentioning that one of the main reasons why people fail to evacuate is because they have pets.

Hope you can join us and ask questions on tips for rabbits / kittens / etc!

@Hiker_Scott @MsMerope That certainly would be my reason.
