@Miro_Collas@palestine Whereas in the Netherlands a proposal has been voted in Parliament to criminalize the slogan 'From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free'.
@edgeofeurope@Miro_Collas@palestine these are two different topics. Spain recognizes a Palestine state based on the UN plan to divide the land implying that there is Israel and a Palestine state. Whereas the slogan implies that Israel gets dissolved and there is one Palestine state.
In addition the Netherlands have now a far right government.
@edgeofeurope@Miro_Collas@palestine you had an election and the right/conservative parties got a majority. And as it looks like, you will have a right wing government.
So technically you have not, but for a vote in parliament, you already have.
Regarding the slogan, it describes the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. While there are different opinions on the slogan, on the area they have a consensus. 1/2
@edgeofeurope@Miro_Collas@palestine depending on the group it is using it, it may have different meanings (for example alsomtotal.contrpl of Israel of the region). However, in context of Hamas it is most likely the one I described.
@prefec2@edgeofeurope@Miro_Collas@palestine Hamas doesn't use that slogan in its 2017 charter, where it does advocate for a 2-state solution.
There are a lot of Orientalist (racist) projections on Hamas.
