Hi. Did you know there's a library of free-to-use music for your next #podcast, university assignment, #radio show or perhaps powerpoint presentation?
I painstakingly made everything here and I'm not done yet. There are at present, 171 tracks but over a thousand variants, and it's all yours for the price of 0.00.
I do have to warn you however, that if you plan to use any of the tracks between 1 and 150 on youtube, you will be hit with a silly copyright claim that I have no intention of issuing takedowns for, so please, despite that, feel free regardless.
If you like what you hear, please boost for larger reach. My goal is to have a library of high-quality tracks for anyone to use for any purpose whatsoever. Thank you.
@Onj Ah yes. In my MacOS days, Track 91 was my login sound. I did this by writing a Python script to play the sound, compiling it as a .app, then setting the app to open when I log in.
@Onj Have you considered getting some of your stuff onto the youtube audio library? I use this for other projects too, however your style would fit. there is everything from classical to piano to light and heavy rock, to singing; all which can be used without restrictions. btw I'm not a part of them. I just love these guys. Happy sunday.

I saw that they’re under a custom license that forbids commercial use. It might be an idea to make that clear as some podcasts and radio shows will likely fall under that heading.
Have you considered releasing them under one of the Creative Commons licenses?
@aral It's because if you're a student or not for profit, then you can use these on the proviso you credit me in shownotes or verbally. If you're getting paid to produce media, then you must come to me for .wav or.flac higher-quality recordings. Regardless the mp3's will always remain free for all to use. That's how I've chosen to make this work.
Still have to put food on the table somehow.
@Onj Wonder if this could be hosted on some sort of Github so you only get to download the latest tracks? :) Thanks so much for this wonderful library! I’ve used a few tracks myself, as you know, and hope to use even more in the future!
@vick21 It's already available via resilio sync, I definitely don't want to go down the git hub route just for that. It's also part of a larger dropbox as well, so that's also an option.
@Onj@spacedragon seems like Spotify left it alone for the longest time, though, and once they decided to change the name, things went to crap. I can’t even monetize my new podcast with subscriptions because I can’t get the stupid payment provider to cooperate, and I’m the one I’ve had for several years, I can’t cash out, even though I have about 34 bucks in my wallet.
@spacedragon@Onj they are stubborn and use stripe instead of PayPal, and they’re acting like I don’t have a balance in my account that’s high enough to cash out, but it says $34.18 right up there at the top of the window
@Onj Have you ever thought about putting your stuff up on TIdal? No doubt it'd be a process. But it'd be neat to see your stuff on a place where it supports objectively far better audio than even Apple music.
@Onj You're a very busy man but you always find time to answer my questions. Maybe I should ask you less stupid questions so that you'll be stumped for a bit before you can come up with an answer. I just love your posts and stuff.
@rooktallon Answering is polite. People that don't answer and don't have time to answer shouldn't post, or give people the idea that they ever will respond. I have a zero policy email inbox, and I like to answer people here and on WhatsApp groups when they have questions. It's the right thing to do.
