Mastodon client for Lemmy possible?
Wil it be possible to use the same client for Lemmy as for Mastodon? They speak the same protocol so it should not be extremely hard to port such client, right?

lemmy.world seems to be unique in that it's allowing post pop-in. Another lemmy instance I checked doesn't have this, so how can I prevent it? It's literally making the site unusable for me...
I'm on my main feed page, set to local. But it looks like this post is from beehaw.org. Is that expected?
I'm starting a new community, and I really wanted some guides since I'm new to this.
I like the auto-bumping when I am using the "hot" sorting option, provided the bumps are for posts that are actually hot. I have noticed that the sort appears to be point-in-time and any new post is bumping....
I keep seeing "502 Bad Gateway" when trying to browse lemmy.ml, and after turning on proxy in my browser it works instantly, after a few tests it seems that lemmy.ml has issues with IPV6....
I am more old school and pour my milk over a bowl of cereal.
Edit:: looks like things are back up an running. I am now able to view kbin posts here....
What about leaving the account with all the edited messages? I mean if they don’t care, why should we....
This is something I can’t seem to figure out. Let’s just assume that 3rd party apps are the reason reddit is losing money. So, it would make sense that reddit wants to start charging for their API access. But why is the burden on the apps and not the users?
I'm running a standalone Lemmy instance, but I'm not planning to develop or grow a community on said instance since it's mostly to practice my infra and DevOps skills. I would, however, like to subscribe to all communities on other instances, for example, on lemmy.world and several others. Is there an easy way, or can I only...
Am I the only one with a bunch of communities I'd like to join but with a status still on "Subscribe pending"....
You might (or might not) have had a New Year’s resolution, but what’s your summer resolution?...
For context i did not know you can use an account from a single instance to post on another. With this in mind I have a few questions:...
Leave a reply here and let’s chat if you think you’re man (or woman or non-binary) enough to moderate this juggernaut of a Fedi community....
Either with "folders" before the community name or assigning tags to the community. In either case it would be determined by the community creator.
Anyone found a community for community moderators to share knowledge or ask related questions?
Still getting my bearings on all of this but I’m loving what I’ve seen so far....
We need a little color to jazz up this community and I suck at stuff like that. Feel free to comment your suggestions so we can make this community look awesome.
This is the same question I asked r/ClassicRock and r/80smusic on Reddit months ago. So it’s time to ask Lemmy users in order to see the variety of answers and music taste here :)
I migrated over and wanted to now play an active role in the community. Yay! Im trying to post some pottery but my pictures are rotated wrong once uploaded. Is there an easy way to fix that? Of course the phone has it oriented differently!

EDIT: Not sure how to add a content warning so a bracket tag will have to do for now.
My favorite kind of music has been Ska ever since I was a little kid! What kind of music is your favorite?
For me it's being able to freely express....
