@lunalein @bookstodon if you haven't read the Expanse series it's the best in my opinion 😁 Second favorite is Murderbot Diaries (first in series All Systems Red). Some others I enjoyed recently with great world building are the Collapsing Empire by John Scalzi (far future no dystopia), The Mountain in the Sea (near future with AI and marine science), Hench (great twist on superhero stories --is that fantasy? It's great), Sea of Tranquility (near future no dystopia)

Ursula Le Guin writes a lot of good sci fi and interesting worlds.

Her books The Left Hand of Darkness and The Dispossessed are two of my favorite sci fi books
