Tar_alcaran,

Battlefield earth didn’t age poorly, it was shit when it was new.

TrousersMcPants,

Necromancer definitely is a good pick for a book worth reading. If you played Cyberpunk 2077 or watched Blade runner it’s definitely a good one to read and see where a lot of it came from

WatDabney,

I don’t think one can say that a book aged badly when it was bad all along, which is the case with all four of those choices.

Rolando,

’80s Science Fiction That Aged Badly…

Battlefield Earth by L. Ron Hubbard

Buck Alice And The Actor Robot by Walter Koenig

The Number of the Beast by Robert A. Heinlein

Footfall by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle

…And ’80s Science Fiction That’s Still Worth Reading

Always Coming Home by Ursula K. Le Guin

Neuromancer by William Gibson

Dawn by Octavia E. Butler

Stars in My Pocket Like Grains of Sand by Samuel R. Delany

HoustonHenry,

Great recommendations…but if you’ve watched “Battlefield Earth”, you’ll understand how good the book is (mildly /s)

I recently read Bloodstone by Karl Edward Wagner, I couldn’t put it down…technically it’s from the 70’s, but who’s counting?
