Emacs: introduction to the ef-themes “Elea” variants (protesilaos.com)
prot's ef-themes are beautiful (protesilaos.com)
I've always found solarized themes nice to look at from afar but way too low contrast to actually work with them. Some of the ef-themes remind me of solarized with improved contrast.
New version of Devil minor mode (v. 0.5.0) available (github.com)
Devil is interesting minor mode for Emacs (not my package). I have been using it for a while and it works very nicely. Earlier I have mapped Caps Lock to control, and Enter to Enter or Control, depending whether it is pressed alone....
Shift-space not working in Emacs
A while ago I noticed that shift space no longer seemed to scroll backwards in pdf-view-mode (nor any other mode where it would make sense). I could swear it used to work fine, and it even works on my windows machine. However I've now tried emacs 28 & 29 (my own config and -q in GNOME, a terminal emulator with --nw and a tty and...

[ANN] org-street, use OpenStreetMap to set LOCATION properties on Org entries (codeberg.org)
This is a fairly niche thing, but maybe there’s a couple others out there who can use it. I wrote this several years back and still use it regularly, so thought it was time to make it public....
What primary task(s) do you use emacs for? How were you introduced to using emacs? And since then already how long? : r/emacs (teddit.net)
On reddit side of internet there is this post. Just wanted to see Lemmy's answer to that question, so I will start:...
