@ianRobinson If you are like me, you will end with the next tier up. Unlimited searches for just under £10. I found 300 searches a month just wasn’t enough.

I do more searches also as it’s a pleasure to use without all the ads and i really like how it looks.

Early thoughts about Kagi search are positive. It might be a keeper as my default for search.

I like that you can favour and disfavour sources in results. I favoured metoffice.gov.uk so it’s preferred in weather related searches.

I’m not sure favour and disfavour are the terms they use for this feature for sources in results.

This sort of thing used to be common in the early days of the web. It's generally been drowned out by noise, commercialism, spam and SEO, but it's a fun little way to spend a few minutes.

(And now I'm remembering the days when I could read every webpage when it came online…)

Trying to set up Kagi.com as default search engine in Vivaldi. Pasted in the session link from Kagi in the search settings of Vivaldi but whenever I type in Vivaldi’s search field or search (Ctrl + T and term) I’m just redirected to Kagi.com, no search results show up?

Internet search is absolute shit.

Question: Is there a way to block/ignore a function provided by a library in favor of my own so I don't have to rename things?

Ex: I have my own code with a 'pause' function, but the code requires "unistd.h" for other stuff. "unistd.h" already has a 'pause' function (different return/params, etc.)

Is there a way to include "unistd.h" but tell the compiler to favor my 'pause' function instead?

It became a bit easier to extend kagi.el with your own FastGPT prompts. You could define the following prompt in your configuration:

(define-kagi-fast-prompt  
 my/synonym  
 "Give a synonym for the word: %s")

Now, my/synonym becomes a real command that accepts text to fill in for the placeholder. You could use it from Lisp:

(my/synonym "happy")

Or use it interactively, where the word will be retrieved from the region or by reading the minibuffer.

I believe this is a pretty new feature within Kagi Search. You can click on the yellow/orange shield with the exclamation mark in it and you get the popup that you see here.

This popup tells you just how many ads and trackers that specific site uses as well as what category of ads and trackers it uses.

This is one of the neatest things I've seen Kagi Search add so far.
