He protected militants participating in an attack. This resulted in thousands of civilian deaths by prolonging the war.
That's the only way to look at this.
Remember that time he showed up in front of a woman employee, naked with an erect penis, and offered to buy her a horse if she would uh, help him out? And then he fired her when she refused? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Of course he supports other men who do similar or worse types of things.
The horse thing is wild to me, because that’s not even a reward for a lot of people. Wow, I can have an expensive responsibility that I’m not equipped to care for if I touch your grody dick? Let me get right on not doing that. That’s just paying to touch Elon’s sad wang with extra steps.
The way he phrases it is as if Ukraine asked him to enable them to make the attack. They asked him to switch it back on, because he had explicitly disabled service in the area, after giving the devices to Ukraine in the first place.
So they can Netflix and chill during the Russian invasion. That's definitely what these devices were for. No way Elon could've known there was any military usage in a country desperately fighting for it's existance.
He’s said as much… That’s the really fucked up part. He’s behind
“Starlink was not meant to be involved in wars. It was so people can watch Netflix and chill and get online for school and do good peaceful things, not drone strikes”. -Elon Musk
Like… ‘don’t worry about the war crimes, just Netflix and chill, Ukraine.’
I fucking love patina on vehicles so much. This is definitely clown shit but point me towards a vehicle with copper panels and you can take all my money.
My Metalbird is developing a patina that looks a lot like rust. Apparently that’s intentional and temporary but we’ll see. I only paid $60 not $100,000 so I’m not as upset as I imagine these people are.
Just a random selfie with a Russian propagandist. That doesn’t mean anything by itself, however. He also was spotted in another photo with Kushner at the world cup as well and again, that doesn’t mean anything more than a picture.
What it does mean, however, is that the world’s richest man chooses to be in close proximity to some really shady people. Or not. The world cup managers probably just had a section carved off for the Friends of Putin club.
[Sorry beforehand if this sounds like a defense of Musk…]
I’ve recently seen a documentary about a con man who used to go to galas, photoshoots and stuff, asking if he could “just take a selfie” with popular/influential people… then use those photos as “proof” to his victims of how he had “powerful friends” and “knew the right people”.
He’s (presumedly) scammed between half and several million that way, convincing people to invest, to work for him recruiting people to invest, to hold shell companies for him, and so on.
So… “taking a selfie with Elon Musk”, could be more of a “whoever takes the selfie” thing, rather than a Musk thing.
Yeah I hate Musk but this stuff is stupid, including that photo of him “with” Ghislaine Maxwell where he isn’t posing or smiling and has his back fully turned to her. They were obviously having separate photos taken when Maxwell’s photographer shouted his name.
In San Francisco, under the in-law and illegal space legislation of 2016, tenants are granted the right to refuse an inspector onto the premises. So for the San Francisco area, residents are granted the right to refuse inspectors into the building.
This doesn't prevent the inspectors from lodging a formal complaint, which SF has indicated that, that's exactly what they're going to do with Musk's office. This would start throwing the whole thing into civil court which can lead to civil penalties. Which combined with Musk not paying rent in several locations and facing evictions and the associated fees with that, any penalties will just be added to the pile of money that he's currently setting "ablaze".
"The ensuing backlash might have been crucial in changing Musk's mind. The Tesla chief moved quickly to assuage concerns, and assured investors that Tesla's Supercharger network isn't going anywhere."
In order to write those words as a professional journalist you've got to be the lowest form of lickspittle.
"Arsonist moved quickly to assuage concerns, after burning down a block of houses, by personally nailing up a board covering a gaping hole, and assured Firefighters and the local community, everything is AOK now"
One of the articles I read said they wanted to make it up to her by letting her do some of their other events. She cancelled other orders, got staff working long hours, and bought a shit ton of ingredients so she could make 4000 pies for them, and they just said “Never mind” like it’s no big deal.
Sounds an awful lot like detrimental reliance to me…
Why is this getting downvoted?
Detrimental reliance is the legal principle that would allow the bakery to recover damages from Tesla. In summary: “You promised to pay me for this, and I acted accordingly, but you didn’t follow through, so pay up.”
Tesla isn’t going to call their lawyers for $4k. The phone call would cost more than just paying her. If she filed in small claims, chances are good they wouldn’t even show up.
You would think tesla would, but who knows what they’ll do if Musk decides he doesn’t like her.
$16k is too much for small claims, but I believe she could get $10,000 from small claims and lawyers aren’t allowed in small claims court in San Fran, so she should be able to just go directly after the person who placed and canceled the order.
Is it unheard of for a bakery to establish arbitration agreements to avoid this exact situation? From my understanding, courts are reticent to insert themselves in arbitration unless the agreements made were invalid. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
“Our principles do not have a price tag, nor will they be compromised — ever,” her note continued. “And no matter how hard they try, we will not be distracted by sideline critics who don’t understand our mission.”
“You couldn’t pay us to stop hating on minorities. It’s a part of our mission.”
