In these times where is displacing millions of people, it's easy to feel helpless, and that all you can do is scream into the void we call hoping it will all stop.

But depending on where you live, maybe there is something you can do. to help the in your area.

Even my mid-sized southern city accepted and relocated hundreds of refugees this year, and many of them need food, aid, language training, etc, and the orgs that help them are understaffed.

Many people taking refuge in your country often come with just the shirt off their backs, and if successfully processed, are given the barest of essentials to get by.

They need all the help they can get. You may not be able to help end the violence in their country, but you can certainly make the time they spend in yours a little more pleasant.

Right now in many parts of , there has been a resurgence of right wing hate, which has been fulled by fear and intolerance of refugees. The best way you can counteract that is to have the backs of refugees.

Find your local organization that helps and see what you can do for them. Sometimes the best counter to negative actions is stronger positive actions.
