Looks like federation is working again!
I just saw some posts from beehaw.org and lemmy.world, looks like we're back in business!

ryand3rk, I found myself from ioc.exchange (mastodon). good sign
aebrer, I'm actually so surprised by how well it seems to be working already
EnglishMobster, I'm still not able to subscribe to magazines on here from Lemmy, which is interesting. Maybe federation needs some time to catch up.
Attempted_Render, Same. I've tried searching for kbin from lemmy, but nothing ever pops up. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or it just isn't fully working yet.
EnglishMobster, Figured it out - you have to put the entire URL into the Lemmy search bar. For example, to find @modeltrains, you need to search Lemmy for https://kbin.social/m/modeltrains.
Once one person subscribes, then the community will show up in searches for "modeltrains".
Zana, What about for Lemmy from Kbin? Like on the Lemmy page it says to type !streetfighter into your search to get the result, but when I enter that in the Kbin search bar it errors out.
EnglishMobster, For Lemmy -> Kbin, type
@streetfighter@lemmy.world
in the search at the top.
Zana, Yo, you rock! Thank you so much, friend!
Nepenthe, This would insinuate kbin is the only one requiring the whole URL, and it seems like that would severely hamper the discovery of only kbin magazines from non-kbin instances. Which is like. Most instances in existence. :/
Unless you mean the discovery is fine and it's only how you have to subscribe to them, which I can't check because I have no interest in setting up other accounts atm
EnglishMobster, IMO, Lemmy is the one that's incorrect by requiring the URL. Kbin does the same thing Mastodon does by having it use the @ instead.
LollerCorleone, Looks like a one way traffic right now.
BiggestBulb, Seems a lot faster for me as well!
olrik, I believe it's because the big first wave of migration from reddit has settled down and cloudfare protection has been turned off. This makes it a lot easier and faster for everyone.
BreadDog, Realized we were federating again when I got a notification from a 5 day old reply on factorio@lemmy.ml.
simple, deleted_by_author
masterX244, cloudflare was the reason why federation was borked. federation communications is server<-->server traffic and that can't pass the bot filter
missingno, Let's goooooooooo
Lells, Hot damn, this is cool!
