@ChrisMayLA6 The £3.1B estimate of taxes raised is optimistic bullshit. Most of the newly taxable ‘income’ will mysteriously evaporate, I suspect. But Hunt has cleverly spiked Labour plans by removing a key pillar of their ideas for how to balance the books. Which made it well worthwhile for the Tories.
