A little over a year on this one. Just finished the final stitch. (lemmy.world)
Not as impressive as @DrPop but I am very happy to have completed my first full coverage piece.

Before anyone ask I’m not planning on doing the dark world anytime soon. This project was one of the first I started and after many breaks and other projects I finally laid the final stitch. Now to clean and dry then frame it.
I hope to finish this one by tomorrow night!
I can’t put this down. I’m having so much fun stitching this. The halfway point is the top of the duck’s head. I’m so close to halfway!...
I’m still alive, still stitching. I took a break, or more like World of Warcraft dragged me away. I lost my character after 50 hours of playtime and I uninstalled windows. My mental health dramatically improved when screen time went down. Especially because I started stitching again....
First time doing an odd shaped fabric thingy, so the edges aren’t too great. Plus, didn’t figure out a better method of punching around the outlines til close to the end…Meh, still makes us all giggle like school children, heh....
Hi All! Sorry I missed the last couple of weeks. Life got in the way a bit. This is really only like a week and a half of progress. I had a week of basically no stitching time. I am so close to the halfway point! 2 over 1 on 18 count....
It’s been a while since I posted. Nearly do e just the desert left.
This is mostly for MrJameGumb because I think you mentioned having this pattern and contemplating doing it on black as well. The sign back stitching. The back stitching… If I’d been able to do it with a single thread I think it would have looked much cleaner. But I needed two to get any visibility. I actually kind of like...
Where do I begin to even see if I’m interested?
Not been able to work on it for a couple weeks, but getting back into it!...
Ok I missed WIP Wednesday but honestly my week is just an absolute mess of days running into each other so that’s no surprise....
Still around. Still stitching. The back stitching on this will kill me. Ended up using 2 threads of black as it just wasn’t showing up with one and I couldn’t settle on an alternate color that made sense/also displayed. You can see one of the colors I tried where I did the stitching for her arms. Or can you? (dun dun dun)...
Between that massive sampler and the color comparison chart I was pretty worn out, so I decided to work on something a little easier for a while lol
The DMC floss is from my local craft store, and the CXC is from an Etsy seller. It’s stitched on 22ct aida....
Like the stitch says, NO RULES! 🇫🇮...
I’m really enjoying this project. I’m having a hard time putting it down and dong other stuff. I’m also loving the higher count fabric.
It’s somehow been three months since @IoSapsai and I agreed to take over moderation of this community, and we’ve not really had to do anything other than keep an eye out for reports. It’s not exactly been a taxing job, so firstly thank you stitchers for being so undramatic!...
I was visiting my mother today and she gave me this. It was my grandmothers embroidery hoop from either the late 50s or early 60s! As cool looking as it is it doesn’t seem super practical though. The shape is odd, and the only tension on it is from a little spring at the top lol...
I made this during a time I felt very lonely. Now I don’t feel lonely anymore, I feel great (for reasons unrelated to crafting, but still).
I’m going with no. No you can’t....
