Arthur_Leywin,

I've had a 3080 GPU on my main PC for a few years and haven't been able to use nightlight in linux since then (Which is why I've been on Windows 11 thus far). Before I spend money on another GPU, do the Intel or AMD GPUs support nightlight mode? I'm referring to this

pruneaue,

My information might be outdated, but i believe nightlight is borked for wayland only. If you go out of your way and use xorg i think it works fine (dont quote me on this, i dont have an nvidia gpu and havent used x in a long time)

grinceur,

i cannot confirm for the dedicated gpu from intel or amd, but at least for integrated they both work for me on gnome on wayland. (i5 7200u (hd620) and steamdeck (rdna2) both running archlinux btw)

Arthur_Leywin,

@grinceur Yeeeaaa unfortunately arch is a bit too much for me. The problem I'm referring to occurs when I'm in Fedora.
