@danvolchek I think I am to knee deep into NixOS to be able to use an imperative distro in large scale again.

It seems infeasible for me because, if I understand correctly, the official package list only contains free software (https://guix.gnu.org/en/manual/en/html_node/Software-Freedom.html).

It would be great to be able to only use free software, but the reality is that I depend on non-free software too.

I wonder if there are non-free packages maintained unofficially/how good the package coverage is compared to Nix...

@danvolchek you can use other channels with the proprietary software packages. The project policy just doesn't allow discussing it on official channels. Doesn't mean people don't use it or that it's not out there, it's just discussed on its appropriate place.

@danvolchek I personally don't know if it covers all the needs, but it's out there. I personally don't have experience using these systems as the OS, I've only tried to use guix some long time ago 😉
