I immediatelly connected with people and in about a week I had more followers than on Twitter in 14 years. Not that I care about that, but it feels nice to be "recognized".
I soon picked up recommendations and realized, there's so much more to discover. And also, there are so many great bands you keep on tooting about that I didn't listen to at all.
So I started my Metaljourneys, to get to know all these beloved bands.

Thanks to @SimoRavens19 I discovered Carcass. @Hadeur gently forced me to listen to Immortal, which I also really like now. But there were many more of course, you can find the link to my Metaljourneys in my profile.
Oh man there are so many great people in here... I'm not gonna mention anybody in particular now, because I am pretty sure that if you are reading this, you are one of them!
Although... I do need to mention @Kitty because Kitty is awesome 🤘
But of course Mastodon is not only #MetalheadClub.
I learned so many things about LGBTQIA+ topics now I know what Furries are (I had no idea) and enjoyed all the arts in here.
Hell, I even started drawing myself and joined an art instance. Ok my drawing is an affront to real artists like @The_KamikaZEN@bestiaexmachina and Kitty , but it's fun. Check out @derthomart for my silly drawings if you like.
So what's left to say? I apologize if I toot to much, I try to use hashtags so that you can mute things you are not interested in (e.g. #TomsMusic, #Metaljourney), but feel free to tell me to shut up if I am annoying, I can handle it 😂
But one thing I know for sure, I'll now blast all your favourite #ThrashMetal songs and I will have some beers on you this evening!
